Meive refrained from smiling, as he watched the flustered Raz follow after Aeya to the infirmary. He knew that Aeya would forgive the teen, and they would settle the misunderstanding.
Aeya stopped when she heard Raz behind her. Turning around slowly, she still let her ebony hair hide her face, embarrassed and nervous about the boy following her. When he explained what he’d really meant, she could feel the hotness in her cheeks spread, as a feeling a slight idiocy passed over her. A larger smile broke her sad features, as she couldn’t help but giggle. Watching the ruby eyed boy, she realized he was just as awkward about the situation as she was.
“Hey Raz, it’s ok, I would have understood your reaction if you were. I just have a tendency to take things too personal. But thanks, I’m glad you told me anyways,” She held her arms behind her back and gave him a lopsided smile, “We’re all stuck in this together, so sometimes it’s good to get things like that out into the open. It’s better than letting it build at least.” Swinging around on her heel, she felt the sadness and guilt from earlier lift off of her shoulders. She reached the doorway to the infirmary and was just about the enter before glancing her sapphire eyes back over to the figure farther down.
“I hope you know that you can talk to me…or any of us if you need too. We’re in this together and the only way for us to remain strong is if we bond. As corny as it sounds,” She flashed him another smile before walking into the next room, though she could still be heard from the passage if she spoke loud enough, “You’re welcome to come with me if you’d like!” It came out just loud enough to hear, though the half-mermaid wasn’t sure if he would accept her offer. I really need to learn to understand people better before taking things to heart. I cause myself enough emotional abuse without making something out of nothing too.
Meive watched slightly amused as Kita asked Lila her age. He was mildly surprised to find that she was so young, which then made him realized that he was the oldest, by a couple of years. I thought she was closer to my age…guess not. Interesting, she’s a lot more mature than most girls, though I suppose in her or rather our situation you’d have to be… Meive’s emerald eyes then moved from the two girls over to Mikke who’d been sitting quietly until now. Thinking over the question the younger boy had asked he wasn’t sure if there was really any definite answer.
“I suppose the only thing we can do. There’s really no where for us to go that would be safe, so we might as well listen to Raz and head towards Iing. Maybe we can figure out more about our opponents as well as ourselves. I think it’s a good time for us all to as they put it ‘discover who we are’. It might help us with this little problem of ours.” He shrugged his shoulders as he let his foot push him back in forth in the swivel chair, his eyes staring at the metallic floor distantly.

Raz wasn't quite sure what to say now, but he decided to take up on Aeya's invitation and followed her into the infirmary. He glanced around, seeing the water bottles. Curious, he wandered further in to the adjoining room. Aah, so this is where the food had come from...MREs and tubes. He squatted and shifted through a box, remembering that Mikke had not had his chance to eat. He picked out a few tubes that were labeled with different soups and an orange juice. He noticed there were different-looking cases, and figured they had come with the 'new ship'. Well, at least they had been kind...
"Thank you, Aeya. It takes me a while to open up, but...I'm not use to having friends." he said over to her, shifting through the crate more. "Hmm, Mikke's an Avian...is there any bird feed in here, or angel cake?" it was a lame attempt at a joke, but he couldn't help but try. He couldn't remember if Avians were more 'angelic' or 'bird'.
Lila smiled promptly and swirled gently around in her seat, tapping in their coordinates. "...Dang, this ship is fast. We'll be there in no time! ...?" The back of her right hand started to sting, and when she looked down at it...what seemed to be a tear had opened up, blood gently but slowly oozing out. Lila quirked a brow and reached into her pocket for a roll of gauze, something she had found in reason to stash in her pocket. She simply wrapped up her hand. No complaint, no comment, not further reaction or thought. "Well, this is certainly our best shot! Maybe we can get some clothes there...I don't know about you guys, but I am ready for a nice bed, an actual meal, a shower, and other such finery."
"Agreed!" Kita piped up, having taken to gently poking Mikke's feathers and watching them twitch. Mikke didn't mind, just grinning at her and shrugging at the silly nerve reaction.
"I agree, Meive...the sooner we find out about ourselves and what we are actually up against, we can get this settled and go home." Mikke said with a small, yet hopefully smile as he looked over to the older boy.

Aeya grabbed a water bottle and stuffed it into her shirt pocket, while also grabbing a couple more for her companions still on deck. Raz had followed in a few seconds behind her, and they didn’t speak for a few seconds. She watched him silently as he shuffled through the boxes of food in the storage room. The half-mermaid was taken aback slightly by the boy’s next comment, not expecting him to thank her. Smiling, she leaned against the doorway looking over his shoulder, laughing softly about the joke.
“No need to worry Raz. I know the feeling. I didn’t really have any friends either. Except a girl named Anne, and then Mikke was a mere acquaintance. Funny how things change,” A wave of sadness suddenly flooded her senses as she thought of her best friend. She missed the girl terribly and felt guilty that the thought of her hadn’t even crossed her mind the entire time she’d been with the others. Breaking out of her thoughts, she walked up behind the squatting boy at the two options, “Personally, I think Mikke’s more angelic, but we could always combine the food. It can be bird cake or something…reminds me of fruitcake.” She made a disgusted face at the mention of it, remembering the heaviness and dry consistency.
Meive broke his jade green gaze away from the floor and over to Lila who had just made a comment about the improved conditions of their ship. The young woman had turned around in the chair and was doing something other than messing with the keypad, though nothing seemed out of place about it. Quickly disregarding the event, he couldn’t help but crack a smile at Kita’s enthusiastic response about hopefully getting a nice bed as well as a shower. He nodded his head in agreement, instead of voicing his opinion.
Turning back around, he let out a soft chuckle at watching the Bastet curiously poking Mikke’s feathers. He always found it amusing to watch how Kita act towards each of her companions, her attitude always seemed to be so happy and energetic. When the winged boy spoke, Meive stared at him with a faint smile trailing across his lips. Home…that sounds great right now…

Raz actually chuckled at Aeya, shifting through the crate again. In his opinion, she...was a pretty cool person in his book. Someone he could get along with..."Fruit cake, I have actually never had the 'pleasure' of seeing it...well look here, angel cake! How they squueze these into tubes, I'll never know." he grabbed up two of them, then glanced over to Aeya.
"Um, your friend Anne...there is a possibility you can contact her once we get to Iing." he said, having noticed her brief spell of sadness. "I don't know much about friends, but now that Ihave them...I wouldn't want them to worry about me if I suddenly dissapeared."
Mikke returned the small smile that Meive gave him, and Kita suddenly bounced up. "I just remembered! You never got anything to eat, Mikke! Lila, are you hungry?"
"No, I'll wait until we get to Iing...I'm not a big fan of tubbed food." Lila said with a chuckle. Kita nodded and bounded off before Mikke could protest and go get it himself. But he couldn't help but smile...even though the situaion which got them together had been pretty harsh, he couldn't help but feel grateful for it.
Raz heard Kita's light, yet bouncy approach before she even rounded around the corner and into the small room. He held out the tubes in one hand before Kita could say a word, and she grinned her thanks before bounding back off again. Raz almost felt like laughing...were all Bastets like that?
"Here you go, Mikke!" Kita announced as she pounced back in, depositing the various tubes on Mikke's lap. The boy blinked, then smiled.
"That was fast, thank you!"
"Raz had them ready, actually. Is that angel cake? How in the world do they get cake in a tube?"
"Kita, have you eaten?" Lila asked over her shoulder, not remembering Kita having done so and wondering how the kit can have that much energy without fuel behind it.
"No, but like you I prefer fresh food over the tubed. But if I didn't have a choice, then I'd eat the tubbed. What about you , Meive?" Kita said, plopping back down in her seat. She couldn't wait to be back on land again!

The half-mermaid couldn’t help but giggle at the idea of stuffing the light cake into tubes. It was a rather intriguing question, one that she might have mulled over longer except for their circumstances. When Raz had turned to look at Aeya, she let her soft sapphire irises watch him kindly, though her eyes quickly widened when he mentioned the possibility of communicating Anne. Her heart raced, excitement coursing through her, though it was quickly replaced by dread. Would it really be a good idea to contact her? Would it put any of them in danger? What if they’re tapped into any form of communication to the people we ever came across. Breaking through her dreary thoughts, she looked back at Raz and smiled weakly.
“Thanks, but it’s probably best if I don’t. She doesn’t really know about…me and I wouldn’t want to get her into any trouble.” Just as she finished speaking, Kita entered the room making her way towards them as though on a mission. Raz appeared to have read her mind, holding out the tubed food for her to grab. Aeya returned Raz’s amusing expression as they both watched the Bastet bounce back out the room again. The feline girl really could lift anyone’s spirits no matter the situation. Shifting the bottles of water around in her arms, Aeya slowly made her way towards the corridor leading back to the deck, turning back for a second to catch Raz’s attention.
“We should probably get back. You might be missed!” Finishing her sentence, she smiled warmly before continuing on. She was truly grateful for having met these people, because deep in her heart she knew they each understood one another.
Meive again chuckled at the newly reappeared Bastet. Her comment about the angel cake was entertaining and truly pondering. Watching silently, he let his arms rest across his chest his emerald eyes surveying the familiar surroundings thoughtfully. Though he was quickly brought back to reality when Kita had asked him about food. Straightening hi back, he changed his position slightly to gain more comfort before he answered her question.
“I’m not much of a food person. Having the ability to control time can mess with your digestive system a little. I’ll probably grab something when we arrive on Iing. Thanks anyways.” He spoke with a faint lopsided smile, figuring that Kita would find interest in this new fact about him.

Popping open a tube, Mikke blinked as a tube-shaped portion of the angel cake slid out onto his other hand. Kita giggled as Mikke shrugged and bit into the soft food. It seemed to be good enough, for the boy didn't issue one complaint as he dug into the other angel cake tube. Just as Aeya and Raz returned to the cockpit, Lila straightened up in her chair.
"Alright, buckle in kiddies! We are going to be prepared for anything this time." Lila announced as she redid her strap. Raz half-smiled at the contended Mikke as he went over and buckled himself into the weapons control chair, turning to half face his computer screen and the spaceshield (what do they call that? We call the glass that we can see out of the front of vehicles 'windsheilds' because they protect us from the wind. xD So spaceshields! *snort*)
Once everyone was buckled in and ready--Mikke swallowing down his tube or orange juice rather quickly-- Lila brought the ship out of hyperspace. They hovered above a particularily large planet that had five continents, all pretty large in size. Even Raz was amazed.
"According to our readings...there is life on all five continents. When I was here five years ago, only three were occupied. Hmm, two ships incoming...they look like messenger ships, though." Raz's guess became fact when a voice filtered in to the ship's occupants.
"Greetings, and welcome to the planet Iing! However, as part of our newest safety protocol, we need to know your ship's registered name, number of passengers, and all names."
Lila had a very brief panic--but only very brief. They would have been in trouble if the ship had still been in its chunky, old and battered stolen shape. But now, with its new makeover...the woman grinned as she silently tapped something into her counsel at the same time she spoke.
"This is the spaceship Hero, code 3-2.67785. Aboard this ship is five personal known as Meive, Razziel, Aeya, Mikke, Kita and Lila. We would like to be escorted down to your planet." The last sentence, though smoothly spoken, was not needed to be said--but that was all the time she needed to send the registration number of the ship in. Now they were guilt free...sort of. Yes, the ship had been stolen, but now that it was remodeled and a new number assigned to it, it was technically theirs now. Haha! Actually, if one wanted to go into specifics, it was Lila's anyways...(xD)
There was a silence, then... "Razziel? Vocie confirmination of said person, please."
"Yes, I'm Razziel." Raz said, and it looked like he wanted to laugh for some unknown reason. It was contagious, and Lila had to look away from him to not burst out in unexplained laughter. That would have been bad. "Scott," Rax chuckled, "could you hurry up the preliminaries? We are hungry for actuall food and are in need of hygiene refreshment."
There was laughter on the other end, and a voice that chuckled "Yes, that's Razziel all right!" And then, "Alright Hero[/i], please follow us!" the two escort ships changed course, and Lila followed.
Raz knew them?

(By Starless) (Spaceshield sounds good to me…XD I was having trouble trying to figure out what to say about it as well, that’s why I haven’t really gone around them.^^ Aeya obeyed Lila’s command, quickly returning to her seat next to Mikke, smiling as she noticed him eating the roundish angel cake. Buckling the buckles tightly, she looked up and over to Lila, her sapphire eyes waiting to figure out their next plan. Without even noticing, she started humming softly, the melody something beautiful but strange. Meive fastened the seatbelts on the chair to the background navigation panel, making sure not to press any flashing buttons in order to get unwanted results. He heard the faint melody that he knew was coming from the half-mermaid that sat a short distance behind him. It sounded vaguely familiar, like something from his childhood but he couldn’t quite place it. Just when he thought he was about to figure it out, he was interrupted by the sudden voice that echoed into the ship. Aeya ceased humming instantly, her attention immediately focused on the voice she’d just overheard. Looking around, she finally realized that close to their location were two other ships. Listening in to what Lila was saying, a small knot found its way into the base of her throat as worry washed over her. Please let everything work out for once! When the voice on the other side asked about Raz, her surprised blue eyes came to rest on the seat she knew the young boy was seated in. Meive too let his emerald gaze settle on the boy’s outline. It seemed that Raz would be much more helpful than they’d thought. Though how the youth knew their host was any clue to Meive. As Lila followed after the two ships, Meive broke the intent distant gaze he’d held on the back of the chair and leaned back. “Hey Raz, how long has it been since you’ve last been in contact with anyone from Iing?” The older boy was asking more out of curiosity than through making a point. He just felt strange not knowing about their situation, even though Raz somehow did.

"Five long years, Meive." Raz said, watching through the spaceshield with an odd look in his eyes. A look that, if not foreign on the boy, suggested hope and happiness.
Kita suddenly grinned, leaning back in her seat.
"So Raz! You haven't been with your girlfriend for five years? That's got to be a bit rash." she had hoped to knock him off guard, but to utter surprise Raz nodded.
"Yes, it has been 'rash'. Hopefully she won't tackle me."
"Raz has a sweetheart? This is hard to believe!" Mikke laughed, but it was obvious it was true by the smile that light Raz's face. Kita was nearly bouncing in her seat at this information.
"What's her name?" the Bastet asked eagerly, eyes shining. This was like getting candy...!
"You'll see." Raz said, and that made it obvious that he intended to tell no more. Kita huffed playfully and flicked her tail. Dang.
They landed on a wide stretch of cemet with various marks on it, and among other variety of ships. Around the landing area was an abundance of willow trees, flowers and other such greenery. The sun was slowly setting, creating a lovely cool air and atmosphere. As Lila lowered the ramp, a puff of fresh air swirled in to the occupants, urging them to come outside.
They were finally at Iing!

Aeya watched silently, her sapphire eyes watching the daydreaming teen stare out the window. She found it amusing that he finally seemed to let his guard down with them, though she was very grateful for it. The half-mermaid couldn’t help but silently giggle at Kita’s remark, but when she heard Raz’s response, the ebony haired young woman was also caught off guard. A part of her found it incredible that as anti-social as he was, he had a girlfriend. Overhearing Mikke’s reply through her thoughts, she couldn’t keep back her giggles any longer.
Still watching the happy gleam shimmer in his ruby eyes, Aeya couldn’t help but feel excited herself to meet this mystery girl of Raz’s. Blinking a couple of times, she was finally able to tear her gaze off of him and over to Meive, who had also been watching with a small smile dancing across his lips.
“At least one of us here seems to be stable enough to attract someone,” She held up her hands to show that she was kidding, “Maybe she actually forces him to have a full conversation with someone. I’m looking forward to meeting her Raz, I bet she’s wonderful!” The young woman smiled and couldn’t rid herself of the laughter that edged into her voice.
Meive let his eyes rest on Aeya’s a bit longer, before looking away, shaking his head silently. He knew what the underlying meaning had been in her comment, but he wasn’t going to react in any way to it. Letting his emerald gaze fall upon Raz for a split second before turning to look back at Lila, the smile on his face still couldn’t remove itself from his lips.
When Lila finally lowered the ramp, a breeze of fresh air swarmed around the ship’s occupants, filling their noses with a multitude of scents. Closing her eyes, Aeya let the aroma flood her senses, while slowly unbuckling her seatbelts. Meive unbuckled himself from the seat and launched himself onto his feet gracefully. The scents that had suddenly engulfed the group was a welcome sensory overload, and the young man knew that his companions were itching to get off the ship. Let’s hope we can actually rest here and get some answers this time.

Raz grinned rather playfully at Aeya as he passed her, being in such a good mood he couldn't help himself. Kita unbuckled himself and sprung up in the same fashion as Meive, except that she stumbled right into the passing Lila. The woman caught her and chuckled, patting the Bastet's back as she bounded down the ramp.
Once everyone was outside, a few men stood before them. They wore impressive, yet comfortable uniforms that were a nice blend of green and gray. Raz approach the one called Scott and they briefly clasped hands.
"Welcome home, Raz! I trust you have much to tell us?"
"I sure do! I suggest a debriefing in the morning; my friends and I are in serious need of rest and refreshment."
"Not a problem! I'll inform the leaders right away. Who are your friends?" Scott asked, his short sandy-blond hair shifting with the calm, alluring breeze.
"Kita, Meive, Aeya, and Lila. Lila and Meive have acted as our leaders."
"A pleasure to meet you all! I hope that you, Lila and Meive, will report at the debriefing? Not all of you have to come."
"I would be glad to attend," Lila said, smiling and bowing her head. Raz was slightly concerned--she hadn't been talking much...
"Please follow us, and we'l--"
"Razziel!" a pretty voice shouted, and the boy hardly had time to turn around before a long-haired figure tackled him while managing to engulf him in a hug. Scott and the other escorts laughed, shaking their heads.
"Aurora! Dang woman, why must you tackle me?"
Aurora was a very pretty girl with a small frame, and her hair was long and a deeper shade than Raz's. Her eye's shined like sapphires when she looked down at him, and she tapped his nose.
"About time you came back--you smell odd." she gracefully got herself off of him and helped Raz to his feet. The boy cleared his throat before gesturing to the group.
"Everyone, this is Aurora."
"Meive, Lila, Kita and Aeya! I heard your names, and it's a pleasure to meet you!"

The playful smile dancing on Raz’s face was contagious, as Aeya couldn’t help but smile in a similar manner as she stood to follow her friends down the ramp. Laughing at the anxious demeanor of Kita as she hurried in a rather ungraceful way towards the new outside world.
Meive walked silently behind Lila, watching the younger woman closely. He’d noticed that she’d been reasonably quiet, but nothing about her body language was suggesting anything out of the ordinary. The feeling that something wasn’t right still wouldn’t leave, so he decided that when they were alone together later he would ask the onyx haired girl about it.
Aeya and Meive remained silent as Raz went to greet his old friend. Neither said anything when the young teen introduced them either. Meive nodded his head politely, his auburn hair falling in front of his eyes at the movement. Aeya bowed low, almost to a ninety degree angle, a faint smile flashing across her lips. Meeting new people was always awkward for her, seeing as though she felt automatically tongue-tied and embarrassed.
The half-mermaid couldn’t help but gape when a blur of a person zoomed by and tackled Raz. Letting what had just happened sink into her brain, her sapphire eyes watched the pair of two bodies entangled on the ground before it actually registered. The young woman who could now be identified as Aurora, and Raz’s girlfriend was very attractive. Her eyes matched the half-mermaid’s and her hair was long and shiny.
Finally, the situation sunk in and Aeya couldn’t resist, and broke out in silent giggles. She found it truly adorable the scene between Raz and his beau. At least you weren’t completely alone Raz. When the young woman turned to acknowledge the others, Aeya waved her hand in a clean sweep, still trying to keep herself from losing control. Meive nodded his head once again, a faint smile resting on his lips, though his emerald eyes were hidden by his shaggy auburn hair.
“Nice catch Raz.” Meive said amusingly, if his bangs hadn’t been hiding his eyes, the group would have been able to catch the wink, but it went unnoticed.
Gaining control of herself, the young half-mermaid suddenly became very curious in their new surroundings. Absent mindedly, she pulled the water bottle from her shirt pouch and held it to her mouth while she spun around on her heel. It was an amazing sight, and Aeya only wished she could stay here for a while and explore. Especially finding the ocean! I recall there being one here at least. Though from the sound of it or, rather lack there of, a pretty far distance away. Oh well. I’ll survive I suppose.

"Ha, thanks Meive," Raz said, rolling his eyes at Meive. Aurora looked between them and sighed.
"Why hide your eyes? Raz--"
"Can we not get into this again? I told you already..."
Scott chuckled and gestured the group forward on a beautiful, big winding path that began to lead toward a large, gray and uninteresting set of buildings. The other two escorts walked ahead as Lila found herself walking next to Scott, and she blinked.
"This is a base?"
"Yes, but abandoned to war weapons--those have long since been moved. It is very nice inside, though."
"Where is the city?"
"About ten miles out." Scott said, gesturing in what Lila took to be a westward direction. "This facility is Raz's father's place. You aren't the only Terain who have shown up recently."
"Terain?" Lila asked, casting a sidelong glance to Meive. This was interesting.
"Yes, that is what Razziel's father came to call the people, or rather, the generation of people who began to show potential of 'elemental' power control.
"Why are more showing up here?" Lila knew she was asking a lot of questions, but it was within her rights. Well, within their rights.
"They are escaping some sort of rebel group--are you okay?" Scott asked, for Lila had suddenly stopped. She shook her head briefly before continuing to walk.
"I'm alright, I just need rest."
"Yes, let's leave business to the morning." Scott agreed, and they were led onward
As they entered the main building (Kita by Meive and Mikke with Aeya), Aurora was at the back with Raz, who was trying to fend himself off from her.
"Please let me cut it--please?"
"Dang, woman! Does 'no' mean anything to you?" Raz huffed, dodging around round of hair ruffles from the small-built girl.
"I believe it is a word you invented to avoid my pestering."
The hallway they walked down was a light gray, and the lights were dimming as the outside grew darker. Despite the lack of cheerful color, the atmosphere was light and not at all depressing. They came to a very, very big room that seemed to be a rec room. There were sofas, a large fridge, a sink, counters, sofas--you name it, and it was there in that vast, pleasantly warm room. There were several doors marked with numbers, from one to seventy. There were also a few doors that labeled "Bathroom" for both genders and "Pool", "Garden", "Weights Room", "Showers" (in separate little rooms, of course).
"The numbered doors are bedrooms of different variety. You'll find it very plain inside, but that can easily be changed. There is a flat-screen computer terminal in the wall by the door that easily lets you design your own room. With a single click, you could view the galaxy in your ceiling. However, room one through twenty are being occupied during various points of the day, and some from your fellow Terains--also, rooms thirty-one, thirty two, and twenty-six are also occupied. You'll meet the other Terains eventually, but I can't promise they'll be as...welcoming, as Aurora here was. They've been through a lot and find it hard to trust others right now.
"Anyhow, you are free to wander where you wish at your own discretion, except for the meeting room when there are meetings going on. Lila, Meive; I'll send an escort in the morning. I bid you all a good nights sleep." Scott concluded, bowing to them before he and his two escort friends turned and headed off to whatever else they were needing to do.
Lila was quick to dismiss herself and head into room twenty-five, carefully shutting the door behind her. She clicked at the small control panel, browsing through the many options. She selected the milky way as her ceiling theme and a bed that better suited her, and some clothes to accommodate the closet. Lila discovered a door that led into the shower room, but into a more private shower of her own. Finally, she could get clean and rest. Raziel just merely sat down on the soft rug, heaving a sigh. Aurora promptly sat at his side, looking at everyone happily.
"It's so nice to be around my own kind again,"
"I bet!" Kita said, plopping ungracefully onto the couch. It was obvious it was comfortable by the way her body relaxed. Mikke grinned at Aeya and gently touched her shoulder.
"Tomorrow we'll find the ocean, Aeya. But there is a pool," he said, just noticing the door. He yawned and sat in a poofy chair, his wings shifting so he could sit better. It was just so...relaxing right now. It was easy to forget why they were here for the moment, and refresh themselves.

Meive replied with a smirk, the auburn locks hiding his emerald eyes. He felt the younger boy’s pain when Raz’s beau brought up the cutting of his hair. Being forced to do something you obviously didn’t want to do was always a tough one to win when it came against someone you truly cared for. But the scene was still amusing to watch. Aeya laughed behind a hidden hand, trying to picture what the teenager would look like with shorter hair.
When the group started its trek to whatever their destination was supposed to be Meive found himself walking a few feet behind Lila, her curious voice cutting into his thoughts as he observed their foreign surroundings. Noticing a particularly interesting information, catching the glance that he receive from Lila. He quickly nodded his head to show her that he had heard. Terain huh? Interesting, but how does that qualify for all of us. Especially Kita, Aeya and Mikke. They’re a different species. So maybe that’s just the powers established with their race, but for humans who have the elemental ability, or psychic ability that’s where the Terains come from.
Aeya followed behind Meive and Lila, her hands folded behind her as she curiously looked at their surroundings. She was careful not to tackle Mikke when she noticed interesting things on his side, instead controlling herself to leaning forward and around him. Her sapphire eyes scanned everything closely.
Breaking out of his thoughts, Meive noticed, and almost ran into Lila, who had stopped. Deep in his thoughts, Meive hadn’t really caught much of the conversation between Lila and Scott, though just by observing her sudden change in body language he knew it wasn’t anything good. Refraining himself from questioning her, the young man felt that it would be best to save for later, after both of them had rested a little.
Arriving at their destination, Meive finally focused his attention on their host Scott. Looking at the numbered doors he spoke of, the young man took note of the one he would like to stay in.
Aeya stood next to Mikke taking in the lodgings around them. Scott had walked off seconds before, leaving the group to fend for themselves. The half-mermaid watched Lila head towards a room, a flash of worry passing through her. The older woman’s behavior seemed sort of strange, but she couldn’t figure out why.
She couldn’t help but jump a little in surprise when Mikke had gently touched her shoulder. Her attention was immediately on him, as she couldn’t help but smile at the mention of them finding the ocean. Watching him sit down and relax she walked to the edge of one of the sofas.
“Pool sounds like a temporary replacement, though only with salt water do I turn,” Doing a quick three hundred and sixty degree turn she looked around the large room, “I think I’ll go to the pool now, seeing as though I already have a bathing suit.” A smile lit her face as she turned to open the pool door, then wander down the hall. She didn’t really mind swimming in the chlorinated water, the only thing she really needed was the feeling of being surrounded by the liquid substance in order to feel more comforted.
Meive didn’t wait long after Lila to head towards his room. He had chosen number eighteen. Upon entering, he quickly chose a rainforest theme and then grabbing a new pair of clothes as well as towels headed straight for the bathroom.

The warm water ran down Lila's body, and it felt so good...until it started to sting. She glanced at the cut on her hand, then her eyes widened when another tear started to appear on her arm. Wh-what was this?! Skin didn't just tear...
It didn't take her long to finish up her shower--very carefully--and be back in her room. She changed into a pretty, dark-blue shirt than had fanned short sleeves at her elbows, and a simple pair of jeans that had a slight flare at the bottom. Then she re-bandaged her hand and went to wrapping up her arm, and sighed. This wasn't normal...
Almost instantly her mind was filled with all sorts of information, as if she had connected to a knowledgeable mind. But it was...odd. She couldn't understand it. With another sigh she pushed the mangled thoughts aside to think about later.
Lila didn't know how long she sat at the end of her bed with her hands clasped on her lap as her hair dried, the brush she had used to comb with discarded beside her. It was great to be in a safe place but...why was her skin tearing? She told herself firmly she'd ask for a doctor after the debriefing in the morning--no sooner and no later, unless it got worse during the night. But Lila knew that even Kita would notice the new bandage on her arm. Hmm.
Back into the closet she went, pulling out a zip-up sweater that fit slim around her middle and baggy at the sleeves. Perfect! Feeling better, she excited her room to 'hang out' with the others--
--just to bump right into a boy as tall as Meive, but with short and spiky black hair. He had just come out of room fourteen and...
An odd darkness filled Lila, and in her mind she heard screams of anguish and pain. But before she could react, the boy briefly gripped her shoulder before quickly leaving, taking the screams and darkness with him. It left her breathless and leaning against her now closed door, staring after the boy as he passed so silently around the others in the center of the room that he was unnoticed as he quickly jogged down the hallway.
She instantly knew that he was 'Terrain'...with an element of darkness....fear and illusions.
Raz lay on the floor with his arms crossed behind his head, and Aurora lay with her head on his stomach. Kita was fast asleep on the couch, curled up rather cutely, her thick hair acting as a blanket to cover her lower back and shoulders. Mikke still sat peacefully in his chair, glancing to the pool door every so often to see if Aeya would appear. He would have followed her, but he was too tired at the moment. But he'd go check up on her soon.

Meive held his face under the hot water for as long as he could, waiting until right before his lungs were at bursting capacity before removing his head from underneath the shower head in the bathroom. His body was drained, the mental blockades he’d placed on his mind to remove it from his physical weariness broken. Even the healing song of Aeya hadn’t kept his body in tiptop shape. Years and years of training with his “gift” and he still couldn’t control it completely, its power a constant wear and tear on his body. It was a physical strain as much as it was a mental one. He was trying his best to just stay conscious while taking a shower.
He hadn’t wanted to show how exhausted he was to anyone else, knowing that they each had their own worries to think about. Don’t need another thing to pile onto the list. The young man had discovered a little exercise to help alleviate his weary and pained state in a strange way. Sticking his head under the hot running water and holding his breath. It was strange but it worked.
Pushing on his forearm that rested on the tiled wall below the showerhead, Meive stood up and took deep breaths, letting his lungs fill with oxygen before switching off the water. Drying himself off, he pulled pair of jeans on that were loose, but not baggy, faded brown streaks ran down the pant legs. Situating the white t-shirt comfortably around his abdomen, he grabbed the zip-up jacket and put that on top of the shirt. It was a dark shade of navy-blue and starting from the shoulder down was a thick white stripe.
His thoughts were still mainly concentrated on Lila and her sudden strange behavior as he prepared himself—mentally and physically—to head out and ‘relax’ with his friends. Of course he hoped to see Lila out there in hopes of pulling her aside.
Aeya lay calmly at the bottom of the pool, her gills swaying ever so slightly in the clear water. She didn’t know for how long she’d been in there, but she knew it wasn’t long. Upon her entering, she was amazed at the sight before her. If she hadn’t known any better, she would have sworn that instead of a pool, it was some sort of spring. A small pool above led into a larger pool on the main level, which was where the half-mermaid was located.
She’d been thinking about going in the pool above and diving down, but for the time being, she felt the need to relax and try not to get herself overworked again.
“Cel! Ceeeel! Come on! Hurry up you slow poke! We don’t want anyone to see us out here!” The female voice whispered loudly, though not loud enough to be considered normal. Shadows hid the owner well, not giving away her location at all. A few moments passed by before another shadow silently moved towards a hidden location.
“I honestly don’t see why we’re sneaking around. Can’t we just look at the ship when it’s light outside. It’s not as if it’s some huge top secret thing.” The second voice was male and was calm, though filled with sarcasm. There was silence for a couple minutes, as the owner of the second voice knew his companion was feeling flustered.
“You just have no sense of adventure do you?” The female voice finally spoke, with a tone of exasperation.
“Nope, none whatsoever.” The male voice replied almost jollily. There was a grumble noise for a couple of seconds before silence ensued once more.
“Partypooper…” The female voice muttered, though loud enough for her partner to hear. Snickers broke out a few seconds later before they died away and there was silence once more.
Meive walked out of his room and towards the location of the rest of the group. He noticed Lila’s figure right off the bat and slowly made his way towards her. Still scanning his surroundings, he smiled inwardly at the scene of the couple on the floor, and of the two relaxing, almost drowsy bodies in the sofa. Reaching where Lila was, she hadn’t seemed to notice him. Quietly, he placed a gentle hand on her shoulder.
“Lila, can we find somewhere to talk?”
