(LOL! ROFL! Dear Akeil, I love ya XD! And Eniisa XD!!)
Silv chuckled and gestured at the horses. "All of them have two blankets packed away. I made sure."
Dest couldn't help but smile at Eniisa's comment, and walked a few paces away to stand guard.
"Alright, when everyone is settled down, I need to put the fire out." Silv announced, issuing a yawn. "It is rather draining."
Cloe got her blankets and settled down near her horse, crossing her arms under her head and peering up at the stars.
Ruja wasn't tred, so she decided to take up watch with Dest.
Besides, how can I sleep when It might be lurking about...?

Eniisa looked to Silv for a moment. "Do elemental spirits exist in Liberta?" Akeil raised an eyebrow as he pulled a couple blanketsa from the horses' backs and dropped one on Mimic's shoulders. For one, it wasn't often that Eniisa asked something. That, and if the answer was no, then both Ethornyans would be rather...dehabilitated.

Everything seemed to go oddly quiet then, and even Mimix snapped from her sleepy mode. Dest and Ruja looked over their shoulders toward the camp.
It wasn't an air of uneasyness--but a tinge of fear, though very slight, was there.
Cloe sat up, and gave a nod and smile back to Eniisa since Silv couldn't seem to speak up.
"Yes, we do. Do not be at unease about our silence, Eniisa and Akeil. When the time is right, it will be explained." It seemed that Cloe's words lifted the weight, and all was well again. Silv even went as far as teasing Ruja if she would be able to see in the dark. He was answered by a flicker of her now slitted eyes.
"Fire out, and good night!" Silv said in his normal cheerfullness, and with a slight weary gesture of his hand the fire simply flicked and vanished. Mimix bade goodnight to Akeil, and curled up in her blankets.
But she did not sleep. Sure, she had been sleepy before, but now she was uneasy. Something didn't feel right...was something out there in the darkness? Her mind began to spin so much that she at up and gazed sat the dark outlines of Ruja and Des.

Just when everyone was falling asleep...
FWOOM! The fire returned with Eniisa near it, pointing an open hand at the base of the flame. "Have spririt, will warm," Eniisa remarked casually, slowly gathering a few more spirits to tame and expand the fire. Akeil chuckled.
"Well, we don't have to worry about the being cold!" It was a matter of time before Eniisa did something like that. She wasn't one to just sit around, letting others take watch. That was 'her job.' So it wasn't surprising when she stood up and walked to the side of the camp opposite Ruja and Des, keeping an eye on that side of the night.

Mimix lowered her head into her blankets, so her laughter was muffled. Silv's expression was priceless, staring at that fire as if it were his first time seeing such a thing. Cloe didn't seem surprised, but openly chuckled at Silv.
"Goodnight everyone," Cloe remarked, turning on her side away from the fire so that the warmth was on her back instead of her face.
Mimix finally brought her head back up, cheeks a bit red from laughing at Silv so much. She took a deep breath then.
"Oh goodness, how priceless you are, Silv!"
Silv slowly closed his mouth, sat down on his bedding, gazed at the fire for a bit longer, then oh so slowly crawled under his bedding.

Eniisa grinned at herself as everyone fell asleep. That was fun, she had to admit. It was also good to know that magic worked properly in Liberta, or at least the more advanced kind did.
Then came the problem of keeping watch. Looking out into a desert, one couldn't see far. A shadow spirit or two would make a decent scout, but...She glanced back at everyone. That might not be such a good idea.

The first rays of the sun were bright and harsh across the sand compared to the deep black of the night.
Mimix had hardly slept at all that night--even though she felt quite safe with Ruja, Dest AND Eniisa out there guarding. But something kept nagging at her...she slowly sat up, and tried to rub the sleep that she had not gotten from her eyes.
Cloe was already up, talking with Dest. The horses were stirring slowly with the sunrise, absorbing it for the energy they would need that day.
That's when it came clear to Mimix. Something was coming, it had been coming at them from the very start. Mimix bolted up, eyes toward the south as a dust cloud, now without the cover of pre-dawn, became apparent. Ridding toward them at breakneck speed were a large number of men on the backs of large, muscular horses.
And from the feeling she was getting, they weren't there to welcome them nicely to the Forsake dessert.
Mimix's hand slowly reached down to Akeil. "Akeil..."

"Well," Eniisa muttered with a flat look. "Looks as if I won't be getting any sleep today..." She drew her dagger from its sheath and glanced over her shoulder. "Aki! Cym baus!" she yelled.
Immediately on command, Akeil rolled oout of the blankets, grabbing and unsheathing his sword in one motion, and landing in a running stance. It was then that he noticed Mimix's hand reaching out to him...and the miniature army in the near distance. He grinned at the former and drooped at at latter. "Oh, great..."
Kira, unfortunately, didn't get up with quite the trained precision. Instead, she sluggishly sat up, rubbed her eyes, and blinked at the desert army. Slowly, ever so slowly, her thoughts fell in order and she realized just what was going on. Her eyes widened. "Holy fishpaste?!"
---------- Cym baus - Literally, take the weapons. Used as 'To arms!' in a battle cry.

Cloe and Ruja, of course, were beside Eniisa instantly. Cloe with her golden rod at hand and Ruja with her black sword. Dest (who didn't need a weapon, and never would) looked around to make sure everybody was up and aware. She groaned to herself when she heard a faint drift of a snore from Silv's bundle of blankets.
"Silv!" Dest shouted, trying to wake him. Silv slowly stirred, and rubbed his eyes as he looked to the large dustcloud that was almost upon them. He bolted up then, the sword Eniisa had given him out and ready, stepping out of his blankets.
The horsemen group split, and surrounded the group and their only half-aware horses. Nothing could be seen as the dust swirled around them.
As it settled, Mimix lowered the arm that she had put up to protect her eyes. Now a startled gasp escaped, for standing before her was a dark-skinned man that looked as if he could easily snap her in two.
A man before Eniisa, Ruja, and Cloe looked down from his horse and glared at them.
"Be gone, travelers! You will not find anything here in the Forsake desert. Leave us in peace!"

"Unfortunately, we aren't looking for anything...We're looking for some one."
Akeil groaned at his cantankerous sister and cleared his throat, walking up to Mimix's side, just ahead of her protectively, Kira scappering out of bed to stand by him. "What she means is...we come in peace. We'll just find our friend and we'll get out of your territory."

At the mention of finding a 'friend', the men glanced at each other.
"He wouldn't happen to be able to summon...blizzards, this friend?" Asked the man who was standing in front of Mimix, Akeil and Kira. "If so, you might as well turn around now. He's being held captive for the time being."
It just so happened that Mimix understood the whole situation, and she truly, almost broke down laughing. From relief or not, she wasn't sure. But she understood, even though the information was pretty lack.
"I get it...so, who told Bliz to come to the desert and 'let it all out'? I believe we have a misunderstanding afoot, gentlemen." The first part was addressed to her friends, the other to the men.
Maybe Bliz was having a hard time controlling his emotions, and came to the desert so that, if they got out of control, he wouldn't scare the heck out of Liberta with a blizzard. And instead, accidentally 'attacked' these guys...

Eniisa coughed. Whoops. How was she supposed to know that the desert was inhabited? Kira stepped forward a bit until she was right in front of the desert dweller.
"Hey, how about this, big guy? How about wse take him off your hands, save you and your people the messy...whatever it is you do, and we high-tail it out of here?"

"There is no misunderstanding about it," the man said, ignoring Kira completley. "He walked straight into our city and attacked us."
Mimix blinked. That didn't sound like Bliz at all...
"Gentlemen, you don't have much right for shoving us out of this desert." Cloe said, speaking up at last. "We come as guests and visitors to your prisoner. Our intentions are not to harm, but understand the situation. I know you will be on guard after that sudden attack--but you have my word that we mean no harm, unless it is acted upon us."
Silv could have whistled out loud, but kept it to himself. Rely on Cloe to make a threat and string out the peace offering at the same time.
The man, for the first time it seemed, came to notice who the golden-haired woman was. He went pale for a moment, but then bowed his head slightly.
"Forgive us, my lady. Please allow us to escort you to our home and offer our hospitality."
Cloe nodded, and motioned for the group to get their things together and get ready to leave.

"Nice," Akeil muttered, sheathing his sword. Cloe was quite the diplomat...Sort of...He didn't have much else to say. The Libertans were in charge. He was a total stranger in the situation, just lead by the nose until he had something to contribute. What he could contribute at that moment was helping pick up camp, half-expecting his sister to set a packing time-limit at any second. When they had been traveling together in Ethornya, time literally meant everything. If you weren't ready in a designated amount of time, you were left behind and often had to run to catch up.
In fact, Eniisa was ready and climbing back onto the horse. "Don't keep us waiting, kid." Yep, there if was, albeit figuratively.
Kira, who had fallen asleep before she even had the opportunity to make a mess around the camp. She was just checking her stuff, making sure that nothing had fallen out on the trip, and wandered over to help Cloe.
"Well, you handled them pretty well. Are you used to this sorta thing?"

The men talked amongst themselves, glancing at Cloe once in a while as she took her dear time packing her blankets away. Silv, catching on to what she was up to, attempted to 'put out' the fire. When he failed three times in a row, one of the men got quite impatient and did it for him, and pointed at his horse with a stern expression that made Silv scamper onto it in a hurry. After all, these guys were much more built than he--he didn't stand much of a chance when it came to brawns.
Mimix glanced at Cloe, wondering what the heck the warrior was up to. But Mimix packed her blanket and managed to get up on Akeil's horse.
Ruja, her ears laid back in a half irratated manner, stood near Dest and her horse. She couldn't summon Nix with all of these desert dwellers--it wouldn't play very well at all.
Finally, Cloe got back up onto her horse. Looking to the one who was apparently the leader, she tilted her chin up slightly, and looked at him with a gaze of superiority.
"We are ready to leave now."
