Aeya’s bright blue eyes went wide when she remembered her water. Out of more realization than anything. Mentally, she tried to calculate how long it might have been since she’d had a drink. I don’t feel sick, though I think if this goes on for a short time longer than I’ll start suffering from dehydration. I’m going to have to try and stay as calm as possible. Great, easier said than done. Breaking away from her thoughts, she nodded her head to show that the thought was appreciated.
When Raz declared the news about his younger brother, the tension and shock in the room seemed to amplify ten fold. Meive could only stand there, paralyzed with the thought of what if it had happened to his little sister as well. He now understood and even sympathized with the boy now. He was actually even preparing in helping harm the woman if it came to it. Aeya could only stand there with her mouth open. She wanted to scream, to cry, but nothing came, it was almost an empty hole in her heart.
The conversation between the woman and the male voice on the receiving end seemed to echo throughout the room. Aeya could feel herself getting weak in the knees as she slowly sank to the ground, all the while, her sapphire eyes trained on Raz’s back. I wish this wasn’t happening, why can’t they just let us go. They destroyed him! Killed his little brother! There’s almost no forgiving that. Finally, her eyes came to rest on Kita as well, a pool of pity collecting for the Bastet. She’s not even supposed to be here, but they still won’t let her leave! A flash of anger coursed through her.
Meive listened to the ebony haired woman speak, and when it appeared she’d finished, he decided that they couldn’t blame their problems on her. Slowly he walked over to her and held out his hand.
“Show us then, there’s no time to waste, it’s the least you could do for us…it’s the least you can do for Raz and Kita.” His words were harsh, as he tried to control his emotions as best he could, "I don't care who your commander is, or what yor relations are to them, we want answers, and we will get them."

Before Lila could answer or put her hand in his, the door that Raz was facing slid open. There was an odd noise, like an object shooting from a gun, but without the bang and only the whiz of the bullet itself. Raz was down before he could even blink, and his eyes slowly closed...and there was a tranquilizer dart sticking from his shoulder.
In blinding precision Aeya, Mikke, and Kita were shot with the drug, a special drug that spread instantly and dampened all sense, all awareness.
"No, stop!" Lila shouted, jumping up and shielding Meive with her own body as several dark-clothed men with long-barreled guns walked quickly into the large room. However, one just simply shot at her, then at Meive before he could do anything about it.

It was black before she could even process the images that flashed before her eyes. All she remembered was feeling as if she were floating in the currents of the ocean, like when she was a young child. Sensing a form of movement, she looked around and saw her mother, smiling, treading in the water next to her. For a few seconds, she thought that everything that had happened, the death of her mother, the mechanical canine, and being kidnapped was all just a really bad nightmare, but looking into her mothers soft say, the older woman seemed to be telling her otherwise.
”Aenxye, you have to be strong. You’re more powerful than you think, let the current of the water wash over you. And remember, that I will always be with you.” It was the first and last thing her mother said before the image started to fade away, replacing it with a depthless black that seemed to swallow everything. Soon Aeya felt as if she were freefalling in an endless hole.
Meive walked down a street, looking on either side of him and seeing the same thing on both sides. Everything was frozen, as if it were a picture, a snapshot of time, except he was in it. The young waitress holding a cup of coffee to her customer, a mother scolding her son for stealing candy. It felt like it would be like this forever, and the young man wasn’t sure if he’d be able to live and remain sane like this. Then, everything began to fade, and all that was left was inky black. No light, no waitress.

Lila was the first to wake, forcing her heavy eye lids open. It took her a full minute to remember what had happened, and the dainty woman carefully sat up. She was on a cot against the wall, and noticed that Meive was on another one several feet away from her, but along the same wall. The room they were in was large and divided into four sections by faintly glowing horizontal bars... What...what was going on? Instinctively she went to tap the band on her left wrist, but it was no longer there. Growing frustrated, which she found managed to get her more awake, she stood and looked into the other 'rooms' to find the others. Aeya and Kita were to the room to her right, Raz was in a separate room across from her, and Mikke was also alone in the room opposite Kita and Aeya. The woman sighed, loosely crossing her arms. This wasn't good...but at least, she noticed, there was a water bottle near Aeya's bed. (And here is a 'picture' of the room, so that it makes more sense :3.)

Meive woke up slowly, keeping his eyes closed to let the minor throbbing in his head go away before he’d be moving around. As his senses became sharper he realized he was lying in some sort of makeshift cot, a rather uncomfortable one at that. When the headache ceased to disperse, he gave up and opened his emerald greens eyes. Looking around from his position he noticed that the young woman from earlier was awake as well, her arms folded over her chest, her face in a sort of distressed deep thought sort of way. It was then that Meive remembered what had happened before. She tried to save me. So now she’s in this just as much as we are. Great…now we’ll never get out. Sighing, his swung his long legs over the edge of the cot and sat up, getting a better view of the chamber he was trapped in. In the cell next to him he noticed Aeya, an alarm immediately went off in his head as he noticed the bottle of water. If she doesn’t wake up soon she’s going to get really sick. She hasn’t had water in hours.
Aeya felt incredibly heavy, all her limbs feeling as though they weighed a ton. The half-mermaid had a skull splitting migraine, and she finally realized why. Water! Her eyes immediately flew open, as she fumbled to move around. She noticed she was in a cot, but that was the least thing on her mind, looking around wildly, she saw the bottle of water and grabbed it shakily. Finishing the last of the water, she could tell an immediate difference, though she still needed more, the amount of time she hadn’t had the liquid. Her migraine was down to a petty headache, though it was still annoying, and she was able to move around much better, her limbs not the dead weights they were before.
Placing the empty bottle on the ground she noticed that Meive was standing on the other side of glowing bars, watching her closely. She faintly smiled, to show that she was in fact alright for now, though she’d be needing water soon enough again. Scanning the rest of the room she saw that Mikke was laying in the cot in the cell in front of her. Worried, she climbed back onto her cot and began watching him, hoping he was alright.
“Mikke! Please wake up!” Her voice was a loud whisper, in an attempt to have the sound not echo all over the room. Her sapphire eyes watched the boy worriedly. Hopefully he’s ok. Looking away for a few seconds, she also noticed that Kita was in the cot a few feet away. The Bastet seemed to be sleeping peacefully. Turning her attention back to Mikke, she sighed sadly. Looks like we’re never going to get out of this.

Mikke mumbled in his awakening state as Aeya's voice found him, slowly opening his eyes to see her some ways away from him. He tried to move, but his limbs refused to.
"...What is...I can't move,"
"Don't try to, Mikke. You got a strong dose of the tranquilizer to tamp down your power. Raziel probably won't be joining us for a while, too." Lila said to them softly, her voice easily reaching everyone in the room. Everyone had gotten a different amount of the drug...
"Dangit...woman. Stop calling me...that. It's Raz." Raz said very weakly from his cot, and Lila grinned slightly as she looked over to him. The poor boy couldn't even open his eyes...but it seemed like his mind was strong enough to stay awake.
There was a startled yelp as Kita fell off her cot when her body had automatically began to stretch after beginning to wake. She was obviously wide awake as she got up to her knees and looked around, just to heave a large sigh. "I hate being enclosed..." she mumbled.
"What...what happens now," Raz's currently slow and weary-heavy voice said. Lila glanced up at the ceiling, looking for hidden cameras.
"I honestly don't know."

A smile lit Aeya’s face at the signs of movement from Mikke’s cot. She plopped onto the rest of the cot, happy that everyone seemed to be ok. She watched Kita fall out of the bed, wincing when she heard the Bastet hit the ground, and then the remarks of Raz. She hardly knew any of these people, but just seeing that they were okay made her feel better. At the uniformed woman’s reply to Raz’s question, Aeya could only look at the empty water bottle longingly.
“I could really go for a nice swim now…that would be nice,” The young half-mermaid grumbled, the unbearable desire to be free of hiding was beginning to overwhelm her as she wished there was more water to consume. I bet they’re ding this as torture. “See how long the fish lasts before she dries up and turns to fish flakes…”
Meive watched helpless as his young female friend grumbled loud enough for the whole room to hear her dark comments. Looking to the other woman sharing the cell with him, he could think of only one thing for them to do.
“Why don’t you tell us everything you know about what’s going on then. Seems we have plenty of time on our hands, and it doesn’t look like we’ll be going anywhere soon, so we might as well get some answers.” His voice was calm, all the anger he felt before drained away. He hoped they would get something out of this.

Kita got up and stretched her arms, then wandered over to Aeya and stood before her, feeling sorry for the girl. "So you are half-mermaid? That is pretty neat. Aah!" she squeaked, jumping back as a small square of the wall popped open and a very small, narrow tray slid out that sported another water bottle. Kita cautiously took the bottle, watching with a raised brow as the tray and the piece of the wall slid back into place. An idea sparked in her eyes as she handed the bottle to Aeya.
"Here, drink it up." As casual as a cat-human could be, she sat back against the wall near where the water bottle had appeared. If Aeya was still thirsty after she finished off the bottle, then another one was certain to come out...and she had an idea of what to do when it did. She seemed oddly calm despite the situation, though... she was forcing herself to be.
"There isn't much I can tell you now that I no longer have faith in what was told to me. Most of it was probably a scam to get me to work for them." Lila replied, finally spotting a tiny glint up in Raz's corner. "Isn't that right, Ger?"
"Aah, so it may seem." Ger's voice filtered into the room. "It was the Captain's idea, after all."
"So, what's the idea to capturing our kind? What are we going to be forced to do?"
Raz finally got his eyes open, and managed to roll his head to the side to look at Lila. The way she had said 'our kind' ...
"Like I'm going to tell you. Now be good in there." Ger's voice faded, and it was obvious he wasn't going to speak any further.
"Hmm...for the record, Razie--Raz, your brother was not killed. The hound attacked him because it detected potential power in him...but the hounds were not designed to kill. You ran off, blind in your anger, before you could check to see if he was really dead." Lila said, taking her gaze away from the camera and pushing her curly black hair over her shoulders. Raz just stared at her, trying to absorb the information.
"How can you sound so...sure?" Kita asked.
"Because that's one of my 'gifts'. I can see 'hidden truths' in unguarded minds, and obtain knowledge just by looking at something." Lila took a deep breath, bringing a hand to set on her forehead. "That's how I know, because Gir just recently found that information out, but he wanted to hide it from everyone."

Aeya stared at the Bastet surprised for a second, as if she just realized she had a cellmate. As the words sunk in, the black haired girl nodded her head. No use hiding it. A small gasp escaped her lips as both Kita and the half mermaid watched a water bottle appear. After handing the water to the thirsty girl, Kita had walked over to the wall. Aeya drank the water quickly. Feeling even better. So they won’t harm us seriously, just enough to get our attention. Sighing, she forced herself to stop pitying herself and standing up tossed the bottle on the cot. Walking around she surveyed the room, coming to a stop once again in front of the bars leading to Mikke’s chamber. She could tell he was awake, but being functional was something else completely.
When the young woman began to speak, Meive turned his attention to her, surprised but not completely shocked to here a man’s voice answer the woman’s questions. What did surprise him was the fact that she too was also one of the ‘gifted’. Things just keep getting better! When the conversation between the two ceased to exist and she’d explained her power, Meive walked over to the wall and leaned up against it.
“So it seems were all here because of our lovely gifts, which at the moment sound more like curses,” He paused to muse over it for a couple seconds before turning his emerald gaze on the other inhabitant of his cell, “Your name is Lila then? Now that we’ve got that established, we might as well go around and state what our powers are, if we have them, that way we don’t have anymore surprises.” Finishing, he glanced around at the rest of his prison mates, waiting, and wondering what would happen next.

"Mine is wind," Raz volunteered first, his voice sounding stronger now. "And you all know my name by now." Mikke finally sat up, rubbing his eyes.
"I'm Mikke, and--ow--control electricity," Mikke stated, not liking how his wings were so numb that they hung very awkwardly on his back. His feathers and hair had decently settled down, but his hair was still spiky from all the electrical currents when he tapped into said power.
The more she listened...the more Kita got ideas. Seeing as it was her turn, she shrugged one shoulder.
"I'm Kita...and apparently I don't have a--"
"Yes you do, actually. The hound would not have attacked you otherwise." Lila gently interrupted. In her mind, she could see the plan that was blossoming more and more in the Bastet's mind. Hmm...how to tell the others secretly? Oh, she had an idea, but it would be best if she waited for the other two to introduce themselves and their power, that way she wouldn't startle them too badly. With truth she saw that each and every one of these teens had the ability to speak with their minds, but it was an untapped power that she would have to stir herself. So yes, it would have to wait a minute.
But her smile that spread on her lips was, if someone was aware enough, a sign that they would not be staying here for much longer.

Aeya looked to each of the others in turn, and when it came to her she hesitated. What power do I have? Sighing she shrugged her shoulders.
“Let’s see…my power…other than being capable of turning into a mummy, I have absolutely no clue. It’s Aeya, once again,” Pausing she became thoughtful for a couple seconds, “I’m also pretty good at being helpless too!” She chimed the last part in cynically, barely containing a small bitter laugh. Her sapphire eyes then turned to rest on Meive, who stared at her before shaking his head. He seemed to be the only one to still understand her sarcastic and cynical humor.
“My gift is the ability to manipulate the flow of time. Meaning I can look into the past as well as the future. But I can’t tell the future willingly, it comes and goes as it pleases. I can’t change the past either, only observe what has happened. This also means that I have a mental clock built into my head, I can tell you how much time has passed at any given moment. I’m sure you get the idea…” The young auburn haired man trailed off, already believing he’d rambled on enough. Not knowing what else to say he looked around the large room for what felt like the millionth time. What is there to do now…

Now that I know for certain who you all are and you powers...we can get out of here.
That message played softly in each mind that was in the room...and it was obviously Lila's voice, but softer and more sure, if that was possible. A mind voice is a lot different from one's normal voice, after all.
All of our kind has the ability of mind communication, and no one else on this station knows this. Kita, what is the idea that has been forming in your mind?
This is convienient! Well, I have been thinking of how they have been delivering water to Aeya. When it comes open again, I'm going to grab it and not let it close. There has to be some sort of wiring near it that will effect either parts of this room, or the whole of it. Mikke could easily overload it by the smallest of zaps, since his power is collecting that raw energy.[/i]
Kita's mind voice was confident as well, and she was able to say things that she really couldn't say with her mouth. But otherwise, it was almost just like her normal way of speaking.
Very god. That wiring will be near the same wiring system as the door that is also in you cell, Aeya and Kita. Once we manage to get out, we can get to my ship. But it wil take all of us, working together, to escape.
(Sorry so short, at school--mind powwwwwwwwwwers! Buahaha! Contirbuting to random/kinda logical ideas would be awesome <3!)

“This is convenient. Though, if we were to try and look unsuspicious we’ll have to continue to move around or do something. Standing still and staring off into space definitely won’t help us.” Meive’s voice was calm but held a tone of reassurance. Closing his eyes, he leaned his chin against his chest, and made it look as if he were almost sleeping on his feet. Aeya listened to their conversation and obeying Meive’s suggestion walked back over to her cot and lay down on it, her sapphire blue eyes looking up at the ceiling thoughtfully.
“So, our plan, I think we should have Mikke knock out the cameras or something like that,” Meive paused in his telepathic plan, wondering what they could do next to ensure that someone comes in through the door, “I don’t know what we could do next though. We’d have to do something that ensured guards or someone opens the door for an escape.”
Aeya furrowed her eyebrows determinedly, and rolling onto her side, letting a sigh escape her lips. Then it came to her, “Hey! I think I’ve got it. I can pretend to start getting really sick or something, starting having some sort of seizure on the floor?” Her voice sounded excited. Meive almost laughed, but controlled himself masterfully.
“I suppose that settles that part, but I think we need to go over this plan thoroughly, this might be our only chance of escape, so there’s no mistakes.”

Don't worry--they'll come running the second they can't see what we are doing. Lila assured them, watching Raz carefully as he was finally able to stand, stretching out his tingling limbs.
As long as you know the way to your ship, woman, this will be easy enough now that we are prepared. They will not get us this time. Raz said, now rubbing at his right wrist.
Okay, Kita, get ready to grab that thing--it's about to open. Lila said, putting one hand on her hip and leveling a steady glare at the tiny rounded camera. Ready Mikke?
Sure am! he replied, stretching out his arms then taking a casual leaning stance against the wall that involved having his right arm support him and his other hand tuck neatly into his pocket. His hair slowly began to stick up on end again and his feathered wings bristle as he made sure he could control his power without hurting everyone, then concentrated on sending a bolt directly to the camera through the wall. Raz jumped out of the way as the small camera sparked and oozed a brief fit of smoke.
Just then that section of the all opened again, holding out another water bottle. Kita tossed it over near Aeya's feet--she'd be needing to keep it with her anyways--and grabbed onto the 'tray'. Then, without really knowing how it happened...an odd, icy tingle traveled through her arms, and ice began to cover the tray and make its way into the wall. In her mind, Kita could imagine it traveling over the wires, freezing then and even shattering them...
The lights of the room flickered, then the aura around the bars died. Kita slowly stood, rubbing her hands together.
"...Cool."
"Very nice, Kita. Now you might want to hurry and shatter some of these bars so we can be near the door before they come."
Kita nodded, freezing enough bars so that Mikke could get through to them, then she did the same thing for Lila and Meive, then Raz. Now they were all in one room, Lila making sure no one was in the direct path of the door, but rather off to either side...and the lights finally flickered off.
Perfect. Meive, here they come. Everyone, be ready to run once they are taken care of.
The door slid open then, but the small force of people outside hesitated at the door, shifting their tranquilizer guns. Why was it so...dark in there? They couldn't see, because the light on their side was making it just look even darker in there...was it an ambush?
(You can decide how many there are, but at the most there is five and the least, three. :3)

As soon as the camera was gone, and the hair on his arms and neck stopped standing on end, Meive positioned himself in an area that he felt would give him the quickest access to the others. He’d forgotten to mention one part about his powers, but he was going to make sure that it didn’t ruin their escape.
“One more thing guys, if we’re going to use my power, you all have to be in some sort of contact with me, otherwise, I’ll be the only one getting out of her. So when we’re ready, everyone grab a hand and then grab onto me that should ensure we all get out of here.” He looked around to make sure that everyone understood the minor change in the plan. Aeya nodded her head, changing to a sitting position, watched Kita, as the Bastet quickly tossed the bottled water over to her. Grabbing it, her jaw dropped as she watched ice creep over the tray from Kita’s hand. The lights flickered, and she continued to stare with surprise. Finally breaking out of her stupor, she noticed that the rest of them had gathered in the same room, off to the side. When the lights went out, Aeya had almost perfect night vision, waiting for the door to open.
When it finally did open a few minutes later, they were greeted by a group of four guards. Meive watched as they shuffled uncomfortably for a few seconds, unsure as to why the lights were off. He took his break and launched at them, quickly eliminating two. Not wanting to get carried away, he returned inside the room, and it appeared as if the two men had been attacked by some invisible force. Thinking that enough time had been wasted, Meive turned in the direction of his new friends.
“Alright everyone, grab onto someone so we can get out of here. Lila, you grab mine and you can lead the way, we’ll be fine for about five minutes.” As his words faded from her thoughts, Aeya grabbed the hand nearest her’s, who was Mikke when she looked to see who it was. Meive grabbed someone’s hand, not entirely sure who’s in the dark.
“On the count of ten I’m going, so make sure you’re all here and attached please.” This was it, and Meive hoped with all his might that this worked; he desperately wanted to get out of here and wished this plan to accomplish that.
