Before she stepped completely out of sight, she turned back and nodded her head. When Aeya reached the doorway to the infirmary and the words from Kita took a second to sink in. The onyx haired mermaid couldn’t help but bust out in laughter. She held her sides tightly as she thought over how the guards would act, tears beginning to blur her vision. The thought of their stomachs growling when they were supposed to be all serious made the girl temporarily forget that they’d tried to harm them. What made it all the more humorous was Kita. The Bastet seemed so curious about.
Finally, her laughter died away, her chest aching from the hard heaving of her chest. Sliding her glasses off her face, she wiped her eyes and went to stand next to Kita, checking to see how filthy her lenses were. When the Bastet asked about Lila, the girl had to think about it.
“I don’t think we’ll need to worry about her. If she’s known about her power for sometime, and knew about what the plans were of these people, then she must have had some sort of plan of getting away from them,” Pausing, she moved to sit back in the chair from earlier, and leaning forward removed the damp towel from Lila’s forehead and refreshed it with more water before replacing it, “Even if she hadn’t helped us, she wouldn’t have been able to stay with them, not unless she wanted them to find out. But what her plan is, I have no way to know.” Her sapphire blue eyes moved to rest on Kita, a small lopsided smile playing on her lips.
Meive looked at Raz calmly. He wondered what they were going to do once they exited hyperspace as well as where they were going to go. Moving his gaze to the contents in the crate, he looked at the choices. None of them seemed too appealing because of his lack of hunger, but he knew he needed the energy and nutrients. Picking up a random tube, he opened it. Glancing out of the corner of his eye a small pang of guilt shot through him as he looked at Mikke, who was unable to eat because of his build up of energy.
“Maybe if we remove the contents from the tubes and put it on something that won’t conduct electricity you’ll be able to eat?” It was more of a suggestion, since he didn’t really know the limits of the winged boy’s gift.

Kita beamed at the half-mermaid as she laughed, just now noticing how her statement would have been funny. Aeya's laughter was addictive--Kita began laughing too, and as they both regained their breath, the girl couldn't help but realize how lucky she was to have a friend like this girl.
"Hmm, very true!" Kita turned her head to view Lila again, tilting her head slightly to the right. What a curious person...but she made one heck of a leader! "Hey, Aeya! On television, superheros--the people with powers--always had a name to go by. Maybe we should consider one." she giggled, her tail flicking slyly about her booted ankles. "I shall be...Ice Cat!" Kita struck a pose, grinning cheesily like one would see on a movie poster.
Mikke 'hmmed' as he considered this, and was about to respond when the ship gave a shudder that jarred his very bones! Raz quickly sat up straight in his chair, tossing the now-empty tubes over his shoulder and quickly focusing his mind on the task ahead. The white and green blur faded to the black, glittery scene of space. In the wide viewing screen, they could see a cluster of stars that was similar to the Milky Way, but more colorful and clustered with even more planets. They had appeared right over the atmosphere of a planet that had just one very large continent, the rest covered in water and small, various islands. Even Raz thought it was beautiful...!
But the peace of the view did not last for long. The ship shuddered again, but it wasn't like the one that had signaled their dropping out of hyperspace--something blasted right against the hull! Things began beeping in alarm, and had this been an anime show, there would have been a large pulse mark resting on the back of Raziel's head.
"Dangit! We've been hit, and bad! Overriding the weapons system," the last part was muttered to himself as Raz strapped himself in before tapping away. There was another tremendous shudder as they were hit again, and the ship lost momentary control before Raz straightened their direction. "Hold on, guys! We are entering the atmosphere!" Which would probably tear most of the ship up at this rate...Raz muttered what seemed to be curses in another language. Bright beams of light blasted from the old ship and arched over it, and there was the faint vibration of the offending ship that was shooting at them exploding. Raz blinked, surprised. It may have been a junky ship...but it had impressive firepower!
That's when things began to happen much too quickly, and even time itself seemed to spin out of control. They dropped out of the atmosphere at an alarming rate and began to plunge down to the edge of the vast continent before anyone could have much of a chance to react. Raz gritted his teeth as he grasped the flight controls tightly in his gloved hands, trying to level the ship. If he could make it so they slid more than made a head-on collision, their chances of survival would increase. Survival...it hit him then. At this very second, he held the lives of his five comrades in his very hands. Sudden determination overtook him as they plummeted down to a large, eroding city. What felt like a bursting in his very chest, Raz concentrated very hard to manipulate the air around the ship to form a kind of cushion...but it was hard for such a big object!
The ship leveled out at the last second, and the air cushion slowed them drastically...but the ship still jarred and skid, and even leveled right into a moderate-sized, thin-built tower. The air cushion remained intact as the tower fell right on them, bouncing off the air-shield harmlessly to the ground. But it flickered out as Raz, with a low groan, lay his bleeding forehead down on the control board. When they had smashed into the tower, the jarring halt had snapped his head forward as their momentum was stopped.
Mikke had been strapped in still, but the back of his head had smacked back against the wall pretty dang hard. So he sat there, half awake and half fumbling around with the darkness that tried to drag him into unconsciousness...

Aeya covered her mouth, trying her best to hold back the build up of laughter that was once again going to have her tearing. She is truly something. This girl is amazing! Not able to hold it any longer she let it go. When her fit of giggles slowed down a little she stood up next to the Bastet.
“And they call me fish girl!” She said, striking another pose next to her new friend. Not able to stand there long, she held her sides again collapsed to her knees, hunched over in a fit of hilarity. Their fun was cut short when the ship suddenly gave a jolt, lifting Aeya off the ground for a split second. Looking to Kita, she quickly stood and moved next to the bed Lila was lying in. Both girls had the same thought and finding buckles and straps fastened the unconscious woman tightly, to make sure she wouldn’t be able to get loose. When they finished Aeya walked towards the door before turning around quickly.
“Buckle yourself in the chair. I’m going to see what’s going on, I’ll be back in a minute. Watch over Lila.” Her voice took on an authoritative tone, and finishing she disappeared down the hall. Leaving the Bastet to follow the orders given to her.
Meive fell from his seat on the bench to the ground after the initial thud. He was slowly moving his way back up to the bench, rubbing his lower back, when another thud came, it was stronger than the one before, knocking Meive to the floor once again, where he lay stunned. The young man was just regaining his senses when a nonstop series of thuds and jolts threw the ship about. Meive, unable to hold onto anything was tossed around like a dummy, hitting either side of the ship, bruises forming all over his body. Near the end, the jolts became much more violent, and Meive felt something break in his shoulder, as a wave of pain washed over him. His mind was beginning to go black as he realized he was near one of the piloting seats. Pulling himself the rest of the way over, he dragged his injured body and finally managed to buckle one of the straps. The blackness swallowed him before he could do anything else, the last thing he remembered was a brief and short scream.
Aeya was halfway to the command deck when the violent jolts began. Unable to keep on her feet, she collapsed to the ground in a painful thud. Wincing, she looked around for anything to hold onto, but found nothing. Her ankle was sprained, she could feel it swelling. Grimacing, she did her best to crawl in the direction of the deck, in hopes of reaching one of the bench’s seatbelts.
As she crawled on, the jolts became worse, flinging her back and forth on both sides of the ships walls. The young girl even managed to fly up and hit the ceiling on a couple occasion. She was only feet from entering the command deck when the most violent of all the jerks came, bringing her up to the corner of the ceiling, where it met the wall, her neck snapping into it, a scream of pain escaped her lips before she hit and ground, landing on the deck a small distant from where she came up. Dizziness and agony slowly turned into an inky black nothingness, which she welcomed wholeheartedly. Her last thoughts hoping that Lila and Kita were okay.
Kita had managed to buckle the straps just in time, right before the ship seemed to be moving out of control. Even with her buckles firmly clasped, the Bastet was tossed around, before finally hitting her head against the back of the chair. Knocking the senses out of her. And then the jolts stopped, and everything was silent.

( Thanks for helping with Kita <3!!!! )
An eery silence settled over the ship as the occupants struggled in their jarred or unconscious states...
Lila slowly opened up her eyes, blinking through the haze of her pounding headache. It all came back to her...they were trying to escape into hyperspace...then why was she laying down?! What, what had happened...? Lila pushed through the rest of her grogginess and made to sit up, but she was strapped in place. What under the stars! A groan next to her announced the waking presence of Kita, who had indeed managed to buckle up. Through Kita's mind, Lila was able to grasp and even see what events had taken place. How terrible!
"Kita, are you awake?"
"Y-yes...my head hurts pretty bad, though...oh, Lila!" even through her own pain Kita was able to flash the young woman a smile as she carefully unbuckled herself. She made her movements careful and not too fast as she unstrapped Lila, warning her to sit up slowly and stay there for a second. As Lila let her blood flow to the right places, Kita leaned next to her, waiting for the initial pounding to go away. When it began to turn into a steady thrum that Kita could ignore and when Lila felt able to walk, they took a deep breath and wandered out.
They came upon Aeya first, both of them kneeling at either side. Lila gently traced her index finger over Aeya's forehead, and saw through her eyes what Aeya had saw before passing out. She nodded to Kita who settled herself down into a more comfortable position before moving on, needing to see the others. Next was Mikke, who was blinking slowly and struggling to get his bearings. Lila was about to touch his arm and offer comfort until her skin prickled in warning--touching him now would make her receive a nasty bolt of electricity. She bit her bottom lip and continued on toward the pilots' chairs, gasping softly at the sight. Blood...! She traced a gentle, dainty hand over Meive's cheek.
"Meive, hang in there." she said softly before turning to Raz, gently touching the back of his head. She was both alarmed and impressed and what information she gained...the way Raz had used all his energy cushioning their fall. Lila took a few steps back, making a slow circle as she observed her battered comrades. A slow trail of tears trickled down her cheeks without her notice or clarification. Everyone had worked hard to get here, to steady each other and the ship...only to have them blasted out of space, into the atmosphere and crash landing on an unknown planet. At the moment, she felt utterly hopeless! They all needed help, all needed assistance...but how could she do it?

(Anytime! Glad I could be of assistance. ^_^)
She was swimming again. The ocean’s current gently moving her in a lazy motion. Aeya was floating on her back, letting her fins instinctively guide her. Her sapphire eyes staring up at the pale blue sky dreamily, until she sensed someone else’s presence. Flipping forward, her eyes grew wide with delight at the beautiful mermaid that swam only a few feet away.
“Mother! I’ve missed you so much!” Her voice held an almost childish tone. Tears filling her eyes, “You won’t believe the terrible things that have happened…all my new friends…they’re all probably injured pretty bad…I don’t know what to do…I wish you were there to make everything okay, just like when I was a kid…”As the half-mermaid spoke, her voice turned more sad, the childish tone gone as the events of what had happened flooded to her mind. Her mother swam closer and only smiled at her calmly.
“Aenxye, you can’t stay here forever. Your friends need you,” Her mother’s words calmed her, though she wished to never leave the mermaid again. Sadness crept into Aeya eyes, as she realized what she said was true, “Do you remember that song I used to sing to you when you were upset or hurt?” The question caught the half-mermaid off guard, as she thought about it. Remembering, she smiled, as she began to hum the tune to herself. Looking up to her mother, the older woman had a gorgeous smile on her face, a caring and proud look, that etched itself into Aeya’s mind. The ocean started melting away, her mother fading with it, but still the young girl could see her mother’s face, and she wasn’t scared anymore.
Aeya slowly came to her senses as needles of pain seemed to erupt all over her body. Gasping, she tried to remember everything that had happened. When the images came zooming back, he eyebrows furrowed in concentration. She still felt all of her limbs, which was a good thing though the aches and pains coming from them made her half wish she couldn’t feel them. It was then she noticed something or someone next to her. Taking a deep breath, she forced herself to open her eyes, a blinding light from above causing her to see stars. Groaning, she blinked a couple of times, tears filling her eyes.
When her vision finally seemed to be almost normal, Aeya looked to see who it was that was next to her. A small smile dancing across her lips at the sight of Kita. Her presence was definitely welcome. Gathering courage from the sight of the Bastet as well as from herself, she slowly and awkwardly pushed herself to her knees, her hands planted in the floor and her head hanging as a wave of dizziness washed over her. Trying to move her head, a sharp pain shot through her neck, as another gasp escaped her mouth. She figured the best thing to do was to sit down next to Kita, and figure out from there what to do. As ungracefully as possible, she moved to sit next to the Bastet, out of breath.
Meive heard someone calling his name, and for a few minutes, he didn’t know how to respond. Everything around him was black and empty, even though it felt warm and comfortable. But as the questions in his mind formed about the voice, the blackness became cold, as his senses slowly sharpened. He was now almost fully awake, the pain ripping through his shoulder and the various areas that were throbbing on his body telling him so. With his eyes still closed, he turned his head to one side, letting a groan float passed his dry mouth.
And here I was hoping this was all a nightmare.

Lila hurried back to Meive, gently setting her hand on his cheek again. "Meive? It's alright, I'm here for you." Yes, she was there...but still too numb, to confused to figure out what to do to help.
Kita carefully helped Aeya, making sure she did not jar herself too bad. "Oh Aeya, I'm so sorry...I'm just glad you can still open your eyes." her voice was low and soothing, to try and keep the half-mermaid calm. She hummed softly, a random lullaby-like tune for a minute or two before she had to stop because of her own pain. She closed her eyes and leaned her had back against the wall, somehow wishing that she could just snap her fingers, and they would all be healed...
Outside the ship, not even a mouse stirred, no wind to howl between the jagged spires of the once grand city...
Location::Zen E-5 Space Station
"WHAT?"
"Y-yes sir, we have lost contact..."
"We can't even trace our own ship down?"
"No, sir--Captain Vey jumped into hyperspace and out of rang before I could finish giving him your orders...we lost the trail, now we don't know were either of the ships went."
The captain clenched his fists, his upper lip twitching. Blast! A rough spot, for sure! And he couldn't even reach Lila's mind anymore...
"Just keep looking!" he barked, watching dispassionately as his crew members jumped into action. He wasn't finished yet...

Meive heard his name again, and now that he was partially aware of his surroundings, he realized who’s voice it was. Building up some strength, he tried to figure what he wanted to say…but nothing more came to mind. Except her name.
“Lila…?” His throat was dry, her name coming out as more of a croak than a word. Doing his best to ignore the pain, he furrowed his eyebrows before slowly opening his emerald eyes. Everything was blurred into giant blobs, his eyes unfocused. He quickly blinked a couple a times, wincing as it only seemed to agitate his already horrendous migraine. Finally, his eyes cleared up and he was able to see that Lila was standing in front of him, her eyes filled with tears and sadness. He could feel how helpless she felt, and he shared in that sense, knowing that his injuries were too serious to try and do anything…not that he felt up to doing much anyways.
Aeya was helpful for her friends help, feeling most of her strength drain away at all the activity she’d just expended. She tried her best to keep the tears away, Kita’s apology nearly causing her to burst into sobs. Looking to the Bastet next to her, she smiled weakly.
“Don’t worry about it Kita, I’m just glad we’re all alive…though in horrible condition…” She grimaced as a stab of pain shot through her jaw at the movement. Both sat in silence for a couple seconds before Aeya heard the girl humming a tune. It didn’t last long, but something suddenly clicked inside the half-mermaid.
“ Do you remember that song I used to sing to you when you were upset or hurt?” Without even realizing it, Aeya began humming it, at first barely audible, but as the words drifted into her mind, she began singing, a soothing but haunting melody in another language. Her body suddenly felt light, all her aches and pains dying away and a wave of warmth washed over her. Her thoughts were elsewhere entirely, memories of her mother drifting into mind. When the song finally came to a close, she broke from her thoughts and looked around the room. Her gaze froze on Meive as he stared at her dumbfounded.
Meive felt as if he’d just awoken from sleeping for weeks, his body full of energy, and the pain from his shoulder and the bruises from his body all completely disappeared. Aeya’s haunting voice mesmerizing him for a couple seconds before he realized what the melody had done. Leaning out of his chair, he turned back to stare at her, speechless. What was there to say?

Kita thought she was dreaming as the haunting, yet so soothing lullaby seemed to wrap around her. It was so beautiful...the pain in her head literally fled at the sweet voice. Only when it had stopped did Kita realize she wasn't asleep after all! Her eyes popped open, looking around in confusion until her eyes met up with Aeya. She blinked once, twice, before her lips spread into a comical grin. "So, you're a Siren now aye?" Kita wrapped her arms around her fishy friend, holding her close in a warm hug. "Thank you," she whispered before letting her go.
Lila was just as fascinated as Meive...! So fascinated that she did not notice her own slight headache peacefully fade. She was brought back to realization when a groan came from her other side, and she turned to see Raz slowly sit up from his slumped position. There was still blood, but now there wasn't even a wound...not even a scar! Before Raz even had the chance to speak, Lila had followed an odd impulse and hugged Raz to her.
"...Woman, what are you doing..." Raz said groggily, an odd expression coming over his face--and even a faint blush. For once his bangs were pushed to the side, showing amazing ruby eyes that the group had not been able to see before.
"You saved us, Raziel. And Aeya, too!"
"Dangit woman, I told you to not call me that..." However, there was no bite to his words as Lila let him go. She just smiled and set a hand on Meive's shoulder, expressing a relief she couldn't put into words. They were all..alive. Her bright and thankful eyes fell on Aeya, dipping her head gracefully to the half-mermaid.

Aeya broke her gaze from Meive’s and looked to Kita who had moved next to her. When their eyes met, the young girl couldn’t help but smile at the Bastet’s expression. When Kita spoke, Aeya couldn’t help but blush, not fully understanding what exactly she’d done. In a flash, she felt the other girl’s arms wrap around her in a hug, and the welcome that fell to her ears made Aeya smile all the more. It was then she realized that exactly she’d done. That song…I can heal people with it…
After Kita had released her grip on the half-mermaid, Aeya thought it a good idea to get off the floor and onto one of the benches just in case the ship had decided to take another series of horrendous lurches. Noticing Mikke still seated she went a sat next to him, remembering to stay a safe distance away.
As the groan sifted to the back of the deck, Aeya sighed with relief to find that Raz was okay. Holding back a giggle, she watched Lila embrace the teen, and by his empty comments, she thought that he didn’t seem to mind all that much. When she saw his beautiful ruby red eyes, she couldn’t help but gape, it being the first time she’d seen anything under his long bangs.
When Lila released Raz from his embrace and thanked both Raz and herself, she couldn’t help the uncontrollable blush as it spread across her cheeks. She never gotten so much attention before, and it made her feel awkward. As Lila bowed her head, Aeya stood and returned the bow, trying to hide how bright red her face was by her falling hair.
Meive sat back in his chair and smiled up to the ceiling, already imagining how beet red Aeya’s face was from all the gratitude. Sighing he stretched his limbs and realized that he was still partially fastened in the seat. Unbuckling the clasps, he stretched again, watching Lila embarrass Raz. The auburn haired man had been relieved to find that the younger boy had finally regained consciousness. After Lila had returned to his side and rested a hand on his shoulder, Meive felt comforted. Letting it stay there a few seconds, he finally leaned forward and stood up, happy to find that nothing in his body hurt or ached. He moved towards the window in the front and stared at their new surroundings. Where are we…

The world out side was pretty much...gray. Ruined buildings, debris...not a patch of green or bright color in sight. Not even a breeze could be mustered up to add to the already lonely atmosphere. Mikke smiled at Aeya, carefully managing to unbuckle himself.
"Um, Lila...?"
"Oh, right." Lila reached around Raz and toggled a switch, and the ship groaned as the ramp slid out. As Mikke darted out, Lila gestured for everyone to follow him. Might as well look around...she did not feel any threat from their current surroundings. Kita followed behind Lila, her ears twitching to and fro as she blinked about the dull, lonely world. "You know, guys, it is now officially obvious that we dropped out of hyperspace a lot sooner than I had liked. We were suppose to arrive near Earth, not...wherever this is," Lila said as she watched Mikke walk a safe distance off.
Mikke took a deep breath, feeling the electrical current channeling up through his body to his arms. Making sure he was aiming toward a decently empty area, Mikke clapped his hands together once as hard as he could. The resounding boom all but deafened Kita, who yelped and covered her sensitive ears, wincing. What seemed to be a tornado of flashing, sizzling thunder swirled about before dissipating up into the cloudless, dull sky. There was a visible difference to Mikke now--now only did his hair and feathers settle down, but his body loosened and relaxed.
"Wooo!" he shouted, his happy voice echoing around as he then jogged back to the group. He bit his bottom lip when he saw Kita slowly taking her hands away from her ears. "I'm so sorry, Kita! I honestly didn't think it would be that loud--"
"What?" Kita said, louder than she would have usually talked. She blinked and tilted her head to one side. Why wasn't he talking very loud? Mikke laughed, rubbing the back of his head.
"It'll wear off soon, I promise."
"Alice? I'm Kita, not Alice."
Lila couldn't help but chuckle, shaking her head at the Bastet, who looked honestly confused. Mikke glanced between Meive and Raz before walking up to Meive, slowly reaching out...
..and poking his arm, without shocking him! Just the tiniest of tingles.

Aeya followed the others down the ramp, her face gradually turning back to its normal shade. Her hands her hanging limply in the pouch on her black shirt, her thoughts elsewhere. She still couldn’t believe that she possessed the ability to heal, with just one song. At least I’m not completely useless anymore! The thought cheered her up some, as she finally broke out of her thoughts and looked at their new surroundings for the first time. The sight was dismal, the ruins and area around them lacking any splash of life. Although the place seemed abandoned, Aeya’s special hearing picked up strange noises emanating from it. She had no idea what they were, but a sadness welled up inside her.
The crack of thunder scared her as she quickly turned to face its source. A small smile played on her lips as she watched Mikke relieve himself of the built up energy. The ringing in her ears was just beginning to fade away when another sound took its place. It was then she recognized the familiar noise. A light in her sapphire eyes igniting as excitement coursed through her. The ocean! A faint scent then filled her nose, as her excitement only grew. Temporarily forgetting about the others, she wondered around, trying to figure out what direction the scent and sounds were coming from.
Meive winced at the loud noise, though fortunately his hearing was no where near as keen as Kita’s, who’d yelped in surprise. He watched silently, a faint smile traceable on his lips as Mikke approached him and poked him with a finger. The older boy hardly felt the shock, it coming as more of a tickle than anything. He nodded his head, relieved that the winged teen was now able to relax, for at least a little while.
Aeya had wandered into the ruins, the increase of noise and stronger scent of salty air drawing her there. She was sure it wasn’t much farther away, the sounds almost becoming distinct enough where she could count the crashes between waves, and possibly even wildlife. Her skin was beginning to tingle with joy as the thought of swimming freely in the water surged through her. She hadn’t realized how far off she was beginning to wander from the others.

( Kekeke! Now for some mysterious stuff....>3! )
"Now that that is out of your system, Mikke." Lila chuckled. "We need to split up for a while...would you follow Aeya, Mikke?" she had noticed as the girl wondered off to what she could faintly see to be the shoreline. "Raz, do you know anything about fixing ships?"
Raz nodded, and decided to second-guess her. "And you'd like for Kita to stay with me because she is currently deaf?"
"You got it. Meive and I will scout around." Raz nodded, gently taking Kita by the wrist as he led her around the ship to take view of all the damage.
(Sorry so shooort xD!)

The half-mermaid found herself winding through passageways and what must have once been streets, her senses and excitement preventing her from becoming fearful. She’d realized a short time ago that she was completely lost from finding her way back to them, so it seemed the only logical reason to find the ocean instead. Since there was a sure shot of her finding that. Besides, even if she did try and go back, it would only get her more lost, and things would only get worse from there.
Making a left turn, she found herself facing a tall gray wall. A slight frown settled over her once happy expression as she looked down either side of her. For as far as she could see, there was the wall, it’s dismal colour matching with the rest of the ruins. How fitting… Hearing the closeness of the ocean, and smelling the slight breeze coming off of it, she continued in the direction she’d planned on going, keeping close to the wall. Aeya was hoping that the large wall would eventually lead to some passage that would get her to her destination, after all, it was the only thing she could manage to do. Why can’t I have the ability to jump or fly over the stupid thing…it would be a whole lot easier than having to find an opening or crack…when there might not even be one! Despite her sour thoughts, she still managed to keep her spirits high.
Meive looked around worriedly after Lila had mentioned that Aeya had wondered off. He hadn’t even realized her disappearance, which made him feel a little guilty. Obeying the orders given by the onyx haired woman, Meive took another look around them, trying to figure out where the two of them should look first. Everything looks the same…great, that’s not going to help our situation… Turning his emerald gaze from the colourless area around them, he looked to Lila standing next to him, and waited for some idea of what they were going to do.

Mikke nodded and jogged off, going to where he had last seen the girl. The ocean, huh? He could understand why Aeya was eager to get to it, the poor mermaid-esc person.
As Aeya tried to find a way to get past the wall, a small puff of air brushed past her cheek. It did not contain the salty smell of the ocean...but it was almost a sweet smell. A smell that suddenly engulfed around her, swirling with a stronger force that picked up dust that would dance around her. But it emmitted a feeling of peace, of guidance. The dust settled, but the gentle swirl of sweetness tugged at her, trying to guide her around the wall...helping her. Not too far from Ayea there would come to be seen a big hole at the bottom of the wall, and there a soft breeze from the ocean could be detected passing through it.
Mikke...felt utterly lost. He had never had much of a sense of direction, after all. After a few good minutes of stumbling around what use to be a street, he stopped and heaved a quite huff.
"Aeya?" he called hopefully. When there was no reply, he sighed. Alright...now what? He was startled as a puff of air brushed against his cheek, the smell sweet and peaceful. His stress of being lost seemed to melt away as he was engulfed by it, ever so gently being tugged. Whatever this was...it was trying to help him! Hopefully to find Aeya, or at least the ocean. Deciding 'what the heck, why not?', he followed the intuition, and actually saw a footprint in a swab of dust. Aeya had been here!
Lila motioned to Meive with her head, taking off on a straight course rather than the one Mikke and Aeya had taken. She wanted to go a bit deeper into the city, to make sure it wasn't just all ruins. Who knows...perhaps a soul or two still dwindled here, waiting for the day for someone to come and help them?
It was silent, remorse. Lila stepped over a rusted and faded stop sign, taking a moment to put her hair back in a ponytail to get it ouf of her face. She was not afraid of getting lost--and if it did happen, she could contact Raz with her mind and have him send off a flare from the ship. As they appraoched a building that was only half-there, the woman stopped. She looked to Meive with speculative eyes.
"Meive...I feel something. It's...close. An actual being...right...there." her voice faded to a whisper as she slowly turned her gaze to look at the bare spot right before them. She didn't feel alarmed, amazingly enough. The presence she felt was of peace, not hostility. On a sudden impulse, Lila extend her hand, palm up, as far as she could extend her arm. There was a pause...but then a hand was set in hers. The instant that happened, a being flicked into sight. Tall, very thin, pale skin--but it flicked out of sight as Lila jerked her hand back, obviously startled as she backed up against Meive. What...what was this?
"Hmm...the damage isn't actually that bad. The outer hull could use some patching up, refresh the system a bit, tinker with the wiring..."
As Raz was muttering to himself, Kita had sat herself down on large peice of rubble that served as a good chair. Her hearing was slowly coming back, but otherwise she wasn't sure what to do. She knew little about mechanics and repairing, and she had an odd energy. Probably because they had been cooped up in a cell for a while, a brief run, then back into a confined space that served as their ship escape. She knew better than to go off wandering, even though she would easily find her way back. Who knew what was out there? Plus, she did not want to betray Lila's trust in having her stay with Raz.
So, for once, she allowed herself to drift off in thought. What was her family up to? Kita hoped they were not worrying too much...gah, dang! Her essay wasn't quite done yet...it was due tomorrow! Or, was it already tomorrow? Would it be excused due to being kidnapped? She could just imagine her mother or even Mai going up to her teacher and saying, 'Would you excuse Kita's assignment? She's on kidnap leave.'
Raz had found a nifty pack of high-tech tools that he had found surprising to be on such a dinky ship, and pulled out a smell welding tool. As he set to work on a crack in the hull, he felt a tap to his elbow. He sighed and switched the tool off, looking over hsi shoulder. "Kita, can't you see I'm--" But...Kita was sitting further off, the look in her eyes clearly suggesting the girl was floating around another galaxy in the sanctuary of her mind. Raz blinked a couple of times before he went back to work. That was...odd.

A new scent reached Aeya and it made her stop in her tracks. It was a lovely smell and it didn’t frighten her, so she looked around in order to find its origin. When it began swirling around her, a peaceful feeling washed over her and she let it guide her until the hole came into her view. As the strange wind died away, she could once again detect the scent of the salty air of the ocean. A jolt of excitement coursed through her, as she quickly turned around in hopes of finding the wind, or whatever had caused it. Not seeing anything she quickly bowed in gratitude, and took off towards the hole.
Breaking passed the wall, she froze in her steps. Her sapphire blue eyes taking in the wonderful sight before her, a short distance away was the shore, the waves crashing into the sand with a beautiful melody. It seemed like any other beach, with a few trees here and there scattered about farther away from the water. The first signs of colour other than the dull grey of the ruins that she’d become used too. Aeya took notice that one side of the beach was covered with scraggily rocks, something that she wouldn’t want to get close to with the current, but the rest of it seemed like a sort of paradise. The young half-mermaid couldn’t help the giant smile that had planted itself on her face.
She fought the overwhelming urge to run as fast as possible into the water, wanting to take her time and take her surroundings in better. Of course that didn’t stop her from peeling off her arm warmers, revealing a long silver line that started from her elbow all the way down to her wrist. It also revealed that the skin surrounding it was a light aqua blue colour. Stuffing the gloves in her pockets her eyes scanned the sand dunes, watching closely for any signs of danger. Aeya thought it was strange that she had come such a long way without reaching anything bad. I really hope this isn’t a trap of some kind. I’m so sick of those. But I haven’t sensed anything sinister at all while we’ve been here. Breaking out of her thoughts she noticed that she’d arrived. She stood about ten feet from where the water reached up. Sitting in the hot sand, she began untying her shoes, still looking around for any signs of life. Her webbed fingers worked efficiently at her laces until she slid her shoes off and pulling her socks off, placed them gently in the milky yellow sand next to her. She dug her feet into the burning grains, though a little painful, she welcome the feeling. Standing up she looked behind her at the hole in the wall she’d come through. The distance was longer than she’d remembered, but still close enough for her not to lose her way.
Meive followed Lila quietly, allowing the young woman to choose the path she wished to follow. When she stopped, he watched her patiently. Although the young man didn’t have the powers she did, he too could still sense that this place meant no harm on them, instead it almost seemed to welcome them. We’re probably the first signs of life this place has seen in hundreds if not thousands of years. Lila had stepped back against him surprised after something had appeared for a split second in front of them. Instinctively he placed a hand lightly on her waist to support her, since he hadn’t expected her to do so. He couldn’t help the curiosity that crept over him at the sight of the spirit type being that had just been there. They seemed to want to try and communicate with them maybe…but what they wished to say was anyone’s guess.
